Royal Reesink and Maskinhandler Indkøbsringen A/S step into a collaboration

Royal Reesink has an in-principle agreement to acquire the agricultural and the lawn & garden equipment activities of the Danish Maskinhandler Indkøbsringen A/S (‘MI’) by acquiring 100% of the issued share capital.

MI was founded in Denmark in 1963 and is based in Vejle, Denmark. MI has four business areas: agriculture, lawn and garden, shop articles and cross invoicing. The last two areas aren’t subject of this collaboration with Royal Reesink and will be carved-out. As a distributor MI remains offering equipment, the OEM parts and product support through the MI dealer network within Denmark. Besides main brands in the ag business like Kuhn and Rauch, MI has several strong brands in the lawn and garden business. The company has also distribution rights for a couple of brands in Sweden. Kristian Jacobsen, CEO of MI: “We are very pleased with this collaboration with Royal Reesink, a major player with a solid foundation, a long history and a strong focus on service and support. Since the start in 1963 it has been MI’s dedicated goal to be a professional and efficient supplier to Danish agriculture. Becoming a part of Royal Reesink give us the opportunities to continuing our legacy.”

Longterm relationships
Royal Reesink is a market leader as an international distributor and service provider of high-quality machines, components and services for the agricultural sector, turfcare, material handling, warehousing solutions and construction equipment. The 234 years old Dutch company has a strong international presence with 36 subsidiaries all over the world. Gerrit van der Scheer, CEO Royal Reesink: “There are strong similarities between MI and Royal Reesink in terms of a strong dealer network, the way of approaching the market and the good relationship with Kuhn and Rauch. For us it is a good way to strengthen our long-lasting relationship with Kuhn that exists for more than 65 years now. We have great confidence in Kristian Jacobsen and his team taking the company forward.” In the following months, the plans for the collaboration will be further elaborated.

The new partnership is expected to be officially confirmed in the summer of 2021.
